Festival Time

Festivals can be fun, but they can also make you tired. Be prepared to stand for at least ten of the twelve hours you are present. Take with you a big rain jacket in the case of bad weather. Bring bubbles to entertain others, and always dance to keep your energy and your spirits high. If possible stay up front until you can no longer breath (or you think you may pee your pants). Take a good friend along with you to enjoy the experience too. And be prepared to pay $9.00 for a shot and $12.00 for a beer. Keep enough energy flowing, in the case that you have an hour drive back to your hotel (I recommend a bit of chex-mix and a vitamin water). And bring plenty of water! No dehydration now. Finally, enjoy the music, the crowd, and the view.

Idaho, Oregon, and Washington in 1 day

Antiques anyone?

One of the coolest cemeteries ever!

Over 700 miles traveled, 350 driven of the 410 for the day, and a beautiful sunset to boot. But can I just inquire, why do I always raise one of my eyebrows when I take a photo? Points will be given to the most creative answer.

Had a long day of driving today, but Georgia and I made a few pit stops and saw a few sights. Had breakfast and a walk in Boise to begin, then traveled to the strange ghost town of Idaho City, back towards Boise and into Oregon. Ate Mexian food in La Grande Oregon and now we are in Yakima Washington for a bit of sleep. Highlights: Passed the 45th Parallel (same distance to the equator or the North Pole), an amazing rainbow after a down pour on the Oregon roads, the squirrels in Idaho, an amazing cemetery (Pioneer cemetery to be exact), and good company. Seeing as I drove, the over 400 miles today, the pictures are limited. More to come in the future.

The Road Trip Begins

We made it across state lines! Idaho here we are.

The two crazy girls next to gorgeous Shoshone Falls!

Big Horn Beer is our friend!

Friends are stocking us! And we love it. Coffee was great at Big City Coffee in Boise.

So the road trip has begun. Georgia and I are in Boise Idaho at the moment. We are about to leave to Idaho City for a jaunt and then travel the many miles to Yakima Washington. Thought I'd put some photos up though to let you see how are journey has been so far. Enjoy!
